What you need:

  • Windows or Mac computer or laptop.
  • Download and install Open Broadcaster Software on your computer (Watch this video to setup OBS on your computer).
  • An audio source (microphone or mixer output) connected to your computer via an audio capture device (Kaia refers to using the Scarlett SOLO by Focusrite, see our page about this device).
  • A video source (webcam or camcorder capable of 1620x1080, or 1080p, resolution) connected to your computer via USB or HDMI.
  • Broadband with at least 5Mbs upload (upstream) bandwidth for streaming 1080p (explanation about bandwidth).
  • Wired ethernet connection between your computer and your WiFi hub or Broadband modem can be more stable compared to a WiFi connection.

Thank you Kaia for producing this tutorial.
